In short

Debloquiz does not collect, store off the phone or share any personal data.
No account, no server, no advertising, no analytics, no trackers.
The app does not request permission to access the internet: technically, it cannot send anything.
Settings and the parent code stay on the phone only.

Data the app uses

To work, Debloquiz saves the following on the phone only, in the app's private storage:

whether Debloquiz is turned on;
the triggers (at unlock, when opening chosen apps, or both) and how often they fire, the list of chosen apps and the “All games” option. An app installed while Debloquiz is on is added to this list automatically;
the active times tables;
the name and number of the two call buttons shown on the quiz, if filled in;
the 4-digit parent code.

The app keeps no history of questions or answers. The time of the last correct answer, used to space out questions, stays in memory and is cleared when the phone restarts. These settings are never sent to anyone, neither to us nor to any third party. They are excluded from Android's automatic backup and are erased when you uninstall the app or clear its data in the phone settings.

No internet access

Debloquiz does not request the Android INTERNET permission. Without it, an app cannot talk to a server. There is no account to create, no advertising, no analytics tool, and no third-party advertising or analytics SDK.

Permissions requested, and why

Each permission is only used to show the quiz at the right moment, or to call a loved one from the quiz. The parent grants them during setup.

Display over other apps

To show the quiz screen on top of the phone or the open app. SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW

Usage access (“chosen apps” trigger only)

To know which app is in the foreground and show the quiz when an app chosen by the parent is opened. With the “All games” option, Debloquiz also reads the category the app declares itself (game or not). This information is read on the phone at that moment, is not kept as a history and is never sent anywhere. This access is not requested if only the “unlock” trigger is checked. PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS

Make phone calls (optional)

Only if you fill in a call button and allow it: tapping that button calls the chosen person directly. Without this permission, the button simply opens the dialer with the number filled in. Debloquiz does not read your contacts or your call history. CALL_PHONE

Notifications and foreground service

Android requires an app that watches for screen unlocks to run as a “foreground service”, shown by a small permanent notification. POST_NOTIFICATIONS, FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE

Run at startup

So that Debloquiz starts again on its own after the phone restarts. RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED

So that the parent can tick the apps to protect, Debloquiz shows the list of apps installed on the phone. This list is read on the device and never leaves it. The Emergency button simply opens the phone dialer: no “phone” permission is needed.

Children

Debloquiz is designed for children, under the responsibility of a parent who installs and sets up the app. Since the app collects no personal data, it collects no data about children: no name, age, photo, location or advertising ID.

There is therefore no personal information to collect, to obtain parental consent for, or to delete, whether under the GDPR (including its Article 8 on children) or the US COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). The app contains no advertising and no third-party advertising or analytics SDK, in line with the Google Play Families policies.

Google Play

When you download Debloquiz from Google Play, Google processes some data under its own privacy policy. Google may give the developer aggregate statistics (such as the number of installs) and, if you agreed to share them, anonymous crash reports. This information does not allow us to identify you.

This website

debloquiz.com uses no cookies, no audience measurement tool and no external resources: fonts and images are hosted here. Like any web server, our hosting may record technical logs (IP address, date, page requested, browser) for security and to keep the site running. They are not used to track you and are not shared.

Your rights

We hold no data about you through the app, so there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. To erase the settings, uninstall the app or clear its data in the Android settings. If you email us, we only use your email address to reply. You can also contact your local data protection authority (for example the CNIL in France).

Changes

If this policy ever changes, this page will be updated along with its date.
